Hello There!

I'm so excited for this first post on Cooper & Thames, as I've been waiting for it for a while now! To start, I feel like I should explain the name Cooper & Thames, partially because it reflects two places that I deeply love, and also because my sister says that the name sounds stupid. The Cooper River and the River Thames are very different and very far away from each other, one leading toward the coast of South Carolina, the other running through London. Each characterizes a place I love, and each symbolizes a piece of me, which is why I wanted this blog to be a combination of the two: a southern twentysomething from a deep south, fishing, southern drawl family, and the other urban, city life, modern person I've found myself becoming.

I owe this entire revamp to my friend Alexa, who I've never actually met in real life, but has helped me through this entire process and has grown to be one of my best blogging friends! She helped me from step one, when I decided I wanted a change, to last night, when I wanted advice about URLs. If anyone could help me make this blog the best it could be, it's that lady!
