I'm coming out from behind a massive pile of books and tissues (I conveniently caught the world's worst cold last week and it isn't interested in going away) to bring you my two favorites from last week's Fall 2014 NY Fashion Week. I haven't had tons of free time recently, but when I have, I've been scouring WWD.com for photos. Though I'm not very much into the avant garde-ness of most fashion weeks, I love these two looks from J. Crew and Kate Spade. When I first saw those shoes from J. Crew I made a note to save up for them - they're stunning!

Have there been any shows that caught your eyes from NYFW? LFW is in progress this week and I loooove that Mulberry is using Cara Delevingne.  I have a major eyebrow crush on that girl. Check out their Instgram here, they've gone a bit Cara mad!

Happy Friday + Funky Nails!

Happy Friday, y'all!

This post is coming to you late, thanks to birthday celebrations from last night and work this morning. In addition to it being gorgeous outside and not being freezing, I'm in a super good mood today because New York Fashion Week has started! I've wanted to go to a fashion week for years, whether that be in New York, London (dreeeeaammms), or Paris, but keeping up with the highlights from the comfort of my home, with my leggings on, and a glass of wine in my hand is also perfectly fine by me.

My favorite update so far? This manicure with a "modern twist" from the Rebecca Minkoff show. Obviously, since the University of South Carolina's colors are garnet and black, I couldn't love this color combo any more if I tried. Usually I like to stick to more or less neutral, subdued colors on my nails (unless I occasionally want a bright candy colored pink), but these nails are insanely pretty. I bet I could find a manicurist around the university willing to copy this design!

What is this line and why have I not been obsessed with Jenny Packham before now?! I saw some photos of her showcase from fashion week and I'm hooked! Does anyone else feel the same? Please tell me if I'm missing out on any great designers!

Girl Crush: The Man Repeller

Enter: Leandra Medine. The videos she's done with Rebecca Minkoff are priceless and I feel like we would make amazing best friends. We could do videos together. I could steal her clothes. I could stay with her in NYC and get front row seats at NYFW. It would be a 50/50 friendship, definitely.

Do yourself a favor and watch these videos. The first is an NYFW training video and the other is a cover of Call Me Maybe. I may or may not have burst out laughing. Only once or twice. Or a lot.
