Interiors: British Renaissance

Saturday, December 7, 2013

It's been a while since I posted interiors snapshots, so I had to share these from Domaine Home. This flat in London (surprise, surprise) had me from the first glance at the living room. Couldn't you imagine curling up with a cup of coffee (or tea) on that couch and reading a book? I can't stop staring at the fancy crown moulding too! Such a super simple way of making the room extra nice.

Check out that set of drawers in the corner! I have a dresser exactly like that - don't you think that could be  an easy DIY with some delicate stencils? Or go find a smaller cabinet on Craigslist to beautify if you don't want a large set to do up!

And the wooden floors. Those herringbone wooden floors. Be still my heart.
PS - that chandelier. What. Gimme.

I've never been one for hall kitchens, but I love the way this one flows into the dining area. The doorway is huge, so it doesn't look like it would feel cut off from the rest of the house. Notice the contrast of the crown moulding and super sleek appliances and cabinet handles! I can't stop gazing.

Classic London exteriors. Maybe someday I'll have a London stoop of my own :)

  1. OBSESSED. Can I just move in ASAP??

Side note: I've been obsessed with London "townhouse" exteriors since The Parent Trap movie w/ Lindsay Lohan came out...I feel like I'm destined to live in one.
